Mailee leased Brent an apartment when he first moved to Michigan. It took them an entire year to go out on a first date, but when they finally did, they got along so well they didn’t notice when they closed down the restaurant. The wait staff had to kick them out to clean up! A year and a half later, Brent had a Fourth of July proposal planned. As she turned to walk back to the car, Brent got down on one knee and proposed. When they got back to the house, Mailee’s family set off fireworks and handed out sparklers. They planned their backyard wedding around bright, colorful flowers.
