The Gown
One of the first big decisions -- Laura's wedding gown -- paved the way for many of the choices that followed. Laura selected a rum pink silk duchesse satin gown with an ornately embellished bodice by Lazaro. The style of her dress inspired her choice of accessories (a simple veil with a headpiece handmade with the same beads) then the bridesmaids' dresses (ivory tea-length dresses with a single hand-embroidered peony and a berry pink velvet ribbon at the waist)-- and then set the tone for nearly all the wedding plans. The colors in the gown soon became the basis for a major theme.
