The Exit
After the ceremony, guests began the trek to Charleston (30 minutes away) for the reception, the wedding party stayed behind celebrating and taking photos for a while, then piling on to an open-air trolley (a big request of the groom's). We had to make a few hair adjustments when we arrived at the reception, but it was so much fun, the bride says. The wedding party rolled in while the cocktail hour was in full swing, with guests enjoying a mix of passed hors-d'oeuvres and fun finger foods. A popcorn machine serving up fresh-popped kernels -- Laura's special request -- was a huge hit, though nobody was too full to enjoy the sit-down dinner that followed.
