Hand-Painted Lupine Wedding Cake

The couple’s three-tier confection featured hand-painted fondant in a spectrum of brilliant hues and a cluster of colorful zinnias from John’s parents’ garden. Beneath the layers of lupine-adorned fondant was lemon cake with raspberry jam and marzipan filling, which served as a nod to the desserts Juliana used to eat on trips to Europe.
