A Paris-Inspired Wedding at Keeler Tavern Museum in Ridgefield, Connecticut

With the charming gardens of Keeler Tavern Museum as their backdrop, Juliana Serraillier (26 and a project manager) and John Conte (28 and a civil engineer) pulled off a romantic, bohemian fete laced with undeniable Parisian charm. An intimate ceremony in the gardens, complete with playful parasols and a reflecting pool filled with bold, bright blooms, kicked off the celebrations. Fresh, summery cocktails followed on the lawn, where intimate vignettes invited guests to kick back and relax while the Art-Strings Ensembles played softly in the background. Juliana and John’s vision fully came to fruition for the reception, with a fusion of bistro chairs, bright red linens and arrangements of wild, romantic florals transporting guests to the streets of the City of Light. Hand-painted watercolor table markers depicting landmarks across Paris further amplified the effect, while a menu featuring French culinary favorites won over even the pickiest of palates. The couple even made homemade jams and jellies for the occasion to complement the event’s bohemian feel, decking out each pint-sized pot with lace and a hand-lettered gift tag. A tip from Juliana: “Don’t rush to pick vendors too quickly. We really did our research on each vendor and were confident they would do a great job. Also, if you think you can do all the flowers on your own, you can’t. Make sure you have family and friends on deck to help assemble and transport them to your venue.
