After all, the two first met in fifth grade, and officially became boyfriend and girlfriend in ninth grade. He was the hockey player and I was the cheerleader, she says. And from that point on we were together throughout high school, on and off during college, and back together for the long haul after graduation. Finally, one Christmas night, Christy spotted a tiny box sitting all alone beneath the Christmas tree. As she opened the box Reggie got down on one knee, took her hand, and asked Christy to marry him. Her response: Of course! I thought you would never ask!
