For Christy and Reggie's summertime celebration, light pink, black, and white were the signature colors of the day (partially influenced by the Victoria’s Secret box, Christy says). THE BRIDE Christy Egart THE GROOM Reggie Berg THE DATE June 19 Christy, a personal trainer, waited a long time for a proposal from Reggie, a minor league hockey player. After all, the two first met in fifth grade, and officially became boyfriend and girlfriend in ninth grade. He was the hockey player and I was the cheerleader, she says. And from that point on we were together throughout high school, on and off during college, and back together for the long haul after graduation. Finally, one Christmas night, Christy spotted a tiny box sitting all alone beneath the Christmas tree. As she opened the box Reggie got down on one knee, took her hand, and asked Christy to marry him. Her response: Of course! I thought you would never ask!

Christy and Reggie’s Catholic ceremony was held at the historic Basilica of St. Mary in downtown Minneapolis.
After exchanging traditional vows, Christy, Reggie, their attendants, and the guests (325 in all!) gathered on the steps of the church for a group photo.
