For the second day of festivities, Putri wore her hair in a traditional updo adorned with a gilded headpiece and vibrant red, green and gold flowers. “As a Javanese bride, I had two options. I picked what is called the ‘paes ageng yogyakarta,’ which is a very traditional headdress, and wore 24k gold makeup,” Putri says. “Everything has a meaning.”
