After meeting in college at the University of Kansas, Mike and Theresa’s relationship had remained strictly platonic -- that is, until they attended a friend’s wedding together and their friendship took a romantic turn. The Bride Theresa Strohm, 31, pharmacist The Groom Mike Blundell, 30, application specialist The Date November 4 A year after graduating, while the pair were living in San Diego together, Mike stole a moment alone with Theresa and proposed while they were hiking in the Torrey Pines State Reserve just outside of San Diego. Because most of their family lives in Kansas and Missouri, Theresa and Mike decided to have their wedding in Lawrence, where they had gone to college together. With a rustic barn and the fall foliage as their backdrop, the couple married in autumn amongst the Kansas prairie grass.
