The Menu
At each place setting, a square gold charger plate bore a green silk napkin, folded around a menu card with a single green orchid. But even the beauty of the surroundings couldn’t top the sumptuous, creative wedding dinner. The menu was the best! Alicia recalls. Appetizers included sushi, grilled vegetables, and shrimp with rice in mini Chinese takeout boxes. The seated meal began with a cucumber-wrapped salad and spider (soft-shell crab) rolls, followed by beef tenderloin with Chilean sea bass. A coffee and ice cream bar recharged guests for a night of dancing.
