The Ceremony

More than 250 guests gathered for the vintage-inspired wedding at the beautifully restored Calhoun Beach Club, a landmark building on Lake Calhoun.Flora's grandfather officiated at the Lutheran ceremony, during which Flora's sister lit a candle in memory of their father who had passed away when they were younger. It was a way to share his presence in our hearts with our guests, Flora says. In that same spirit, Unchained Melody, one of his favorite songs, was played at the start of the ceremony.
