An unlikely place to find love, Susie and Mike met on a spring break cruise in their senior year at Indiana University. The pair continued to date when they both moved to Chicago after graduation. Five years later, Mike asked Susie to marry him. Thinking he was joking, Susie laughed it off until he stood up, told her he was serious, and gave her the ring. “I nearly fell over. I hopped around the room staring at my new ring and said, ‘Yes!’ about 20 times,” Susie said. The couple started planning their elegant black, gold, and hot pink wedding in a glamorous ballroom in Indianapolis.
