Robyn and Steven were both university students in Tucson when they met at a cocktail lounge where he was a bartender and she was a waitress. On slow evenings, they would dance to the lounge band's renditions of My Funny Valentine, or The Way of the World. As they huddled beneath blankets, sipping champagne beneath an Arizona sky full of fireworks and stars, Steven presented Robyn with a sapphire engagement ring. Robyn and Steven had fallen in love with the San Juan Islands on a vacation, and decided it was the perfect setting for their wedding and honeymoon. Cabins-on-the-Point on Orcas Island became home base for the celebration. The estate is a collection of charming cottages on three seaside acres of flowering gardens and blackberry brambles. Robyn's friend Pamela affectionately dubbed it Wedding Camp.
