Allison and Brett planned an evening wedding at the bride’s godmother’s converted farm, where horses grazed the pastures in the background during the outdoor ceremony. The two sat next to each other during a group outing at a local restaurant, “and that was that -- it was perfect,” remembers Allison. Brett took Allison to Aspens Signature Steaks in Marietta for their first date. “It was so calm and relaxed because there wasn’t the pressure of not knowing each other,” says Allison. Two-and-a-half years later, while vacationing in Rosemary Beach, Florida, he placed a ring on a table between them as they sat on the front porch, enjoying a warm evening. “He didn’t say anything then,” she remembers. “I had to say, ‘Is there anything you want to ask me?’” Brett did ask, and a happy Allison accepted.
