Carlisle (Lisle) and Gary (Scott) met during college but were never more than acquaintances until Scott moved just a few blocks away from Lisle in New York City. They had a friendly lunch, and a week later Lisle asked Scott to be her date for a charity dinner. Though her intentions weren’t initially romantic, the two hit it off.
