When Kate Lynn met Adam in creative writing class at Princeton, she often thought of him as “the guy that eats sandwiches in class.” They didn’t really start talking until senior year, but soon after that, they were a couple. Five years later, Kate Lynn was expecting a summer proposal. “He threw me for a loop by proposing right before Christmas,” she says. The couple ended up in the sitting room of the winery, where Adam gave Kate Lynn a 15-page poem laced with writings, songs and letters representing their love. As she finished reading, their song (“Just like Heaven” by The Cure) played over the speakers. Adam proposed while a photographer secretly snapped photos. A year-and-a-half later they celebrated with an outdoor wedding with blue, yellow and orange details, in a vineyard near the Blue Ridge Mountains.
