Chris had no problem surprising his then girlfriend, Chaunda with a proposal. He had been planning to ask her in Central Park, where they often walked their dog, Lenox. Chaunda played right into Chris' plan and made the suggestion to go to the park herself. While there, she threw a stick for Lenox to fetch and when she turned around, Chris was on one knee. A mutual friend introduced them and the two arranged a first date before Chaunda had to leave. She remembers Chris being easy-going, funny, and a total gentleman. She even learned that he also wanted a chocolate Labrador retriever. Chaunda was head-over-heels and dreading the end of her vacation. After hundreds of phone calls, dozens of trips between St. Thomas and New York, and one chocolate Lab later, the two invited friends and family to witness their marriage in the Hudson Valley.
