“We first met in sixth grade and dated for about four days,” Becky laughs. Though it didn’t work out in middle school, Becky and Ryan were reunited years later through a mutual friend. And after a few emails, the two got together at a local Tulsa pub to discuss law school -- Becky was applying, Ryan was already in -- and before the night was over, they were an item. The couple had planned a trail run, so Ryan spent the morning putting up signs along the route and leaving flowers and a note at the spot where he would pop the question. As the two journeyed along the trail, Becky was completely unsuspecting -- she thought Ryan was just doing something nice to send her off. “It was the perfect proposal,” Becky remembers. “His note said that he had a question for me and when I turned around after reading it, he was on one knee and asking me to marry him.”
