Though Trina and Dan both hail from Pittsburgh, they didn’t meet until both were living in New York City. A coworker of Dan’s took a cooking class with Trina, and when she found out Trina was from Pittsburgh she conspired to set them up on a date. They were introduced on a group outing a few weeks later, and it turned out this matchmaker had definitely made a match.
