Traditional Nordic Kransekake Wedding Cake

Instead of a traditional wedding cake, Kristiana and Paul opted for a Nordic kransekake for dessert. Kransekake, literally translated as wreath cake, is made with layers of almond, sugar and egg white dough stuck together with icing. The couple incorporated their backgrounds—Norwegian, German, Irish and Czech—as subtle tributes throughout the wedding.
