A Country Wedding at Coop’s Event Barn in Dodge Center, Minnesota

It was important to Kristiana Haferman (24 and a manager) and Paul Nowak (27 and a manager) to combine their heritages—Norwegian, German, Irish and Czech—throughout their wedding. One of the most fun ways was with their delicious menu. Read: knedliky (dumplings), sauerbraten and kransekake (cake). Finding a venue that would let them bring their own caterer was definitely a priority. Luckily, Kristiana and Paul found Coop’s Event Barn in Dodge Center, Minnesota. From the beginning, the husband-and-wife owners ensured the couple's vision came to life flawlessly. That vision was made easy with a hay loft ceremony space, a cozy reception room, a wildflower-filled prairie and a rock fire pit that were beautiful and totally customizable. White linens, lots of string lights, burlap table runners and lush centerpieces decorated the barn while hay bales and wine barrels created a lounge area for guests to take it all in. Although Kristiana and Paul's early-October wedding date was surprisingly cold, they didn't let it stop them from having an amazing day. Kristiana wore SmartWool socks with her boho Allen Edmond bootees to keep warm, but her stunning illusion back Allure dress definitely stole the show.
