“The fact that we’re both Irish informed a lot of the ceremony,” Brielle says. The pair chose the Church of the Transfiguration to say their “I dos,” the spot being one of the first places in New York City where Irish Protestants and Catholics could marry. “The chime of bells is to remind a couple of their wedding day, so we had bells instead of flowers or rice,” Brielle says.
