The Wedding Party Looks

The palette for all of the other wedding details was red and ivory -- red because it is not only Emily’s favorite color but also her mother and grandmother’s pick, and ivory to match her Vera Wang gown. Inspired by the ancient tradition of dressing bridesmaids like the bride to confuse evil spirits and keep them from cursing the marriage, her attendants also wore ivory-color dresses by Maria Bianca Nero, and everyone carried red bouquets. The bride's three young cousins wore tea-length ivory silk dupioni dresses. The groom, groomsmen, ushers, and dads wore black tuxes with tails.
