The Reception

The couple took advantage of all that Point Defiance Park had to offer, using The Pagoda on the grounds for their reception. The Pagoda's fireplace is the main focal point inside, so the couple lined the mantle with candles wrapped in raffia, along with gerbera daisies, floating candles in water, and vibrant green button poms. The dance floor was in front of the fireplace, and hanging paper lanterns in apple green and persimmon colors gave it a festive look. Guests sat at long rectangular tables draped in white linen tablecloths topped with embroidered apple green runners. Large curly willows rose out of glass vases filled with rice, and brightly colored origami cranes hung from the willows. Also scattered along the tabletops were pictures of the bride and groom at various ages.
