Stefan proposed on New Year's Eve, as the year 2001 dawned. Roberta, who was a program coordinator and event planner before going to graduate school, cheerfully took on the planning process largely alone, finding the ceremony and reception site, The Gardens at Sunday Park, right away. The gardens, with adjoining restaurant, are set on Swift Creek Reservoir. The view faces west, so you get a gorgeous sunset over the lake, Roberta says.
