The Planning

The months before the wedding were full of parties: an engagement party and a shower in Detroit, a couple's shower in New York, a bachelor party in Vegas, and a night of dancing in Detroit at Space for the bride and her friends. The rehearsal dinner was hosted by the groom's mom at the home of the bride's godparents. They have an indoor pool, says Rachel, and I had to drag my friends out of the sauna when the night was over.
