The Location

Brooke and Jason knew they wanted to get married in Sonoma County where Jason grew up. At first they thought a winery would be the perfect setting, and they spent long days checking out potential sites. But some had noise restrictions, all had rules about how long music could be played, and-the biggest drawback for the wine-loving pair-all required that only the winery's vintages be served. Says Brooke, We finally realized that with a little work, Jason's family home would be the perfect location. The house is set on an acre of beautifully landscaped land, surrounded by vineyards and intersected by a creek. Even so, Jason's dad (with help from Jason) labored for months perfecting the yard to get it wedding-ready, adding a decomposed granite courtyard and installing up-lighting for the oak trees.
