Though Summer looked at countless beautiful dresses, it was what was inside that made the difference. “The lining was so soft, while other dresses felt scratchy,” the bride says of her fluted Monique Lhuillier gown. “It’s so comfortable, I look forward to wearing it while watching movies on the couch with Joe!” Naturally, the gown (a fitted strapless ivory number made of re-embroidered lace) was just as gorgeous on the outside “I never thought I’d wear a gown made entirely of lace,” she says. “But when I tried it on, my eyes lit up.” Once the champagne sash and crystal brooch were in place, the dress was an obvious fit. While Summer was trying on the Monique Lhuillier dress, the designer herself stopped into the store. “She was so down-to-earth that it made me proud to wear her design -- and it never hurts when a designer compliments how you look in a dress they dreamed up!” she remembers.
