The Ceremony Site

Dawn and John wed at dawn high above Asheville in a hot-air balloon. “I was overjoyed to wake up that morning to a picture-perfect sky. It wasn’t until we were at the meeting point that I had an inkling that rain was only one of the concerns a hot-air balloon pilot has to consider,” Dawn explains. “As it turns out, it was too windy for us to fly safely.” Their photographer came to the rescue with a save-the-day suggestion: Go up in the balloon but keep it tethered to the ground. They finally went up, along with their photographer, the minister, the mother of the bride, the father of the groom, and a close friend.
