The Ceremony

Determined to have a fall wedding, Gillian and Dan planned their nuptials in just seven months. Though they live in Sacramento, they chose to locate their wedding in the Santa Ynez Valley, at a vineyard near the town of Solvang, whose charming architecture, shops, and bakeries suggest the setting of a Danish fairytale. It was cool and blustery when the bride and groom exchanged vows on a lawn bordered by bushes and trellises and in front of an archway adorned with autumnal flowers.
