The Ceremony
Just before sunset, guests sipped sliced cucumber, orange, and lemon ice water as the ceremony commenced beside the noted creek. Meredith and Thomas stood underneath a cedar arbor covered in daisies and roses, which Thomas, the father of the bride, and a neighbor had built. Performing the personal service, a good friend (and judge) spoke about the importance of the love of family and friends, and cited Scripture about being close to nature -- exactly where Meredith and Thomas chose to become husband and wife.
