The Ceremony

To add to the dramatic air of the church, a large wine-colored velvet drape was hung behind the altar; and candles on tall iron candelabra decorated with magnolia and winterberries filled every nook. The couple asked Stuart's father, a Protestant reverend, to officiate the ceremony.
