The Ceremony

Erik was raised Jewish and Carly grew up Christian. Although neither is particularly religious, their ceremony represented their upbringings: Erik stomped on a glass following their vows, they wed beneath a huppah that symbolized nonreligious aspirations for their life as a couple, and they asked a close Muslim friend to officiate their ceremony.
