The Ceremony

“My family is Catholic, but I began practicing voodoo lightly when I lived in New Orleans, so it seemed like it would be meaningful and interesting for our guests to honor that tradition,” Cristina explains. The couple worked with a voodoo priest to create the ceremony, which included special blessings and offerings to eguns (spirits). “We loved doing divinations with our priest and we set up an altar in our apartment to house our sacred beads and other artifacts from our ceremony,” Cristina says
