The Ceremony

To get to the wedding, guests boarded buses to head up the curvy mountain road that led to the Boettcher Mansion. Mother Nature provided the most beautiful backdrop for our ceremony, the bride remembers. The couple said I do on the mansion’s patio just before sunset, with clear skies and birds singing in the background. Meghan and Delvon said the same vows that the bride’s parents had recited on their wedding day more than thirty years before. They were our ‘something borrowed,’ Meghan says. The vows had been chosen for her parents by the bride’s maternal grandfather, who was a Lutheran minister.
