The Cake

The three-tiered, buttercream- and fondant-covered confection was covered with gum paste periwinkle and sage daisies, and topped with a white gum paste bow. The cake wasn’t just good to look at: The bottom and top layers were orange Grand Marnier frosted with orange buttercream and the middle layer was a gold Amaretto cake, laced with Amaretto liqueur and layered with Amaretto buttercream.
