The Cake

In keeping with southern tradition, Tina and Russ offered a wedding cake as well as a chocolate groom's cake. The cakes were set on display alongside fresh hydrangeas during the post-ceremony cocktail hour inside the Duff Green Mansion. Given the warm October air, it allowed us to retreat inside to cool off before heading back outdoors for dinner, Tina says. Guests sipped white wine punch and toured the mansion, and Russ and Tina cut the cakes before the party headed out into the courtyard for dinner. Cutting the cakes prior to dinner was a great idea! It allowed dessert to be served promptly at the end of dinner.
