The Cake

As the party continued, everyone made their way to the Pelican Ballroom. The ceremony decorations were used for the dinner reception, which featured stuffed lobster ravioli and champagne chicken. The hurricane lanterns stood as centerpieces flanking both sides of the cake, a three-tier white confection with fresh strawberries and coconut filling, and topped with sugar cattleya orchids -- flowers that were also found in Sarah's bouquet. Despite the joy and beauty of the day, when all was said and done there was one serious problem: My cheeks hurt afterward because I was smiling so hard, says Sarah.
