A four-tiered Cuban cake (yellow sponge cake lightly soaked in French brandy syrup) was decorated with ornate swirls and dots and covered in fresh pink flowers. Each tier had Bavarian cream and a different fruit filling -- guava, pineapple, mango, or apricot.
