Rose was celebrating what she thought was just an ordinary birthday two years ago when she got the surprise of a lifetime. While having brunch with friends at an outdoor restaurant, a “WedEx” delivery truck pulled up and she was asked to sign for a large package. Suddenly, a handsome man, dressed to the nines in a tuxedo, popped out with a bouquet of roses. She fell back into her chair as the man came closer, dropped to one knee, and asked her to marry him. As he waited for Rose’s birthday to roll around, he was busy scouting out the perfect restaurant, renting a truck, creating a “WedEx” logo (modeled after the FedEx logo, of course), and hiring a coworker as his delivery guy. “To this day, I get so overwhelmed when I think back to that special day and think about all the time, effort, and love Ethan put into planning the whole proposal,” Rose says. Thanks to his talents, he proved to be a great asset when planning the wedding.

When the newlyweds made their grand entrance, they went straight to the dance floor and did the hustle to “You’re The First, The Last, My Everything.”
They created programs that doubled as fans to keep their guests cool during the outdoor ceremony, with each fan blade alternating between pink and orange.
Rose’s gown, an ivory, silk satin ball gown with a scoop neck and ruched bodice, was hand-twisted in various areas to create lush, textured roses from the silk satin fabric.
Ethan wore a boutonniere of white dendrobium orchids tied with silk ribbon. The orchids were then pinned to the knot of a Mizuhiki cord, which is a Japanese cord used to make special knots believed to bring the recipient good luck.
A four-tiered Cuban cake (yellow sponge cake lightly soaked in French brandy syrup) was decorated with ornate swirls and dots and covered in fresh pink flowers. Each tier had Bavarian cream and a different fruit filling -- guava, pineapple, mango, or apricot.
Rose and Ethan had their ceremony in the garden area of the Walt Disney Concert Hall. A rose petal–shaped fountain made completely from broken pieces of Royal Delft China was the focal point at the altar.
The reception unfolded at Cicada, a breathtaking, two-story restaurant in Los Angeles with carved maple columns, a gold leaf ceiling, and Lalique glass doors. “It was so dramatic and beautiful, I heard that our guests literally gasped when they were let in,” Rose says. Round and rectangular tables were scattered throughout the room, each adorned with orange and pink tea lights and an assortment of vases filled with orange and pink roses in varying heights.
Rose carried a bouquet of roses in different sizes and shades of pink.

The six bridesmaids wore strapless coral-colored satin gowns and gold-filled citrine drop necklaces, which were a gift from the bride.
