St. Louis Contemporary Art Museum Wedding
Libby Koerbel (29 and works in marketing) and Ben Weissman (32 and works in equity research) welcomed wedding guests from 19 states and four countries with plenty of homemade goods. “We joked that Ben’s mom should open a bakery— everyone was asking where they could buy more banana and pumpkin bread,” Libby says. The couple personalized their day further with Jewish rituals and an Irish blessing to honor their heritages. “It was a beautiful and emotional experience to have everyone I love and care about in my life looking down the aisle with Ben waiting at the other end,” Libby says.
The courtyard ceremony space was decorated with white leather chairs, lush floral arrangements and a copper huppah.
My mom put together a cool DIY art installation featuring maps from all the cities and states our guests came from,” Libby says. A greenery runner, matte-black plates, gold flatware and a mix of gold-rimmed and amber glassware lent an earthy meets modern style to the reception space. Magnolia leaf place cards, which Libby’s mom finished with calligraphy, completed the tablescapes.
