Robert proposed while the two were celebrating Mother's Day in Cocoa, Florida, with Shannon's family. Robert received their permission in the morning and surprised Shannon after a horseback ride. "Bobby grabbed her hand and said "Shannon McQuaaagggg would you do me the great honor and make me the happiest man on earth by marrying me". Shannon said "YES" in front of her Mom, Dad and Uncle Jimmy---not a dry eye in that barn hallway," says Shannon.
