Brian proposed during a moment alone with Michelle after the couple enjoyed a beach trip with friends. Remembering a night when Michelle commented on a lone floating paper lantern, Brian surprised her with one he brought back from the car. "...As I got ready to light it, I failed to realize that he was already down on his knee with the ring out. I could tell something was written on the lantern but couldn't make it out.
