Playful Polka-Dot Wedding Cake With Roses

One of Haven Country Club's biggest draws for Lauren and Christopher was its reputation for top-notch food and drink. To say it seriously delivered would be an understatement. As guests arrived after the couple’s traditional church ceremony, they were greeted with a mouthwatering selection of passed hors d’oeuvres, including fig and mascarpone tarts, lamb lollipops, buffalo chicken Rangoon, jumbo shrimp cocktail and sesame chicken. Dinner was equally decadent, with the club’s talented culinary team serving a duo of grilled filet mignon with cabernet demi-glace and seared scallops with a tropical mango garnish, haricots verts, and roasted potato stacks. “Almost everything at the wedding was gluten-free, except for the buffalo chicken Rangoon and cake, though we did have a small gluten-free wedding cake on the side,” Lauren says.
