An Elegant, Traditional Wedding at the Haven Country Club in Boylston, Massachusetts

Choosing a location to celebrate with their families and friends was a no-brainer for Lauren Veneziano (31 and a teacher) and Christopher DeSantis (32 and a medical sales representative). Golf enthusiasts, the couple were members of the Haven Country Club in Boylston, Massachusetts, and had attended many events at the elegant spot, and were blown away by the top-notch cuisine and excellent service. “Having our reception setting at the Haven made us feel like we were hosting our guests at our second home,” Lauren says. “It's personal to us, and we were delighted to share it with our guests.” With the help of the Haven’s dedicated staff, the couple planned a classic, elegant affair with a subtle glam twist. The day started with a traditional ceremony at St. Mary of the Hills Church, followed by dinner and dancing at the Haven. Tables were decorated with tall and low arrangements of ivory and blush blooms, infusing the room with texture and depth, while playful paper lanterns introduced a touch of whimsy. Guest dined on refined gold chargers and danced to the sounds of the Sultans of Swing band, resting only to strike a pose at the couple’s photo booth. A tip from Lauren: “One of the best pieces of advice someone gave me was to make sure you don't sing during the first-dance songs. The camera will catch you and you will look funny in the photos.”
