“Our Lady of Mount Carmel is a beautiful church with an incredible, lavish gold altar, so it hardly needed any decoration,” Mariel says. Keeping this in mind, the couple simply marked their ceremony space with vases of long-stem white calla lilies along the altar and aisle. Mariel also made the day a little more personalized with one sweet tradition. “I’m an only child and extremely close to my parents, so they both escorted me down the aisle,” she says.
