After seven years of dating, the two had discussed marriage, and Michele was waiting at every turn for a ring. One day, when she unexpectedly had the day off from work, Ryan took her out to breakfast. It wasn't a proposal over pancakes, but her blues dissipated quickly when she found out they'd be doing something she'd always wanted to do—skydiving. Ryan wasn't looking so good, but Michele figured it was just his fear of heights. As they started to jump out of the plane, Ryan told Michele that there was something he needed to ask her...but then he and his tandem diver jumped. Michele jumped next, and, after opening the parachute, her tandem diver pointed to the ground. She looked down and saw the couple's friends and family holding signs that read, Will you marry me? When the two finally landed, Ryan got down on one knee and proposed. It was unbelievable, and so much better than anything I had ever dreamed! Michele says. Definitely worth the wait.
