Leslie Seibert was listening to live music with friends at a bar in Columbus when a handsome stranger approached her. It turned out that Matt Hess had attended college with Leslie’s younger sister, who was more than willing to vouch for Matt. Sparks flew immediately, and two weeks later they had their first date: pizza at Plank’s Bier Garten in German Village. Entirely unexpected just then, but perfect,” says Leslie. “It was very casual and very us.” Eight months later, after their relaxed wedding at a country club in Galena, they put their scuba certifications to good use during their honeymoon in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico.
