With hopes of getting married in an Art Deco venue, Melissa Jenkins and Adam Ross decided on an old Hollywood theater theme for their wedding. The couple carried the theme throughout the whole day -- from the programs to the centerpieces -- and accented their black and white color scheme with pink and white flowers. Melissa made the first move by inviting Adam to her birthday party. But the following week it was Adam that did the asking -- for a first date. Two years later, Adam surprised Melissa with a trip to Napa Valley, where the couple went wine tasting and out to a French restaurant for dinner. Dessert arrived with a candle. (Adam had told the waiter it was Melissa’s birthday -- it wasn’t.) “He told me to close my eyes and make a wish about life or relationships,” remembers Melissa, who closed her eyes and wished away. “When I opened my eyes, Adam was down on one knee with the ring and then he proposed!”
