Megan followed him inside and found his condo filled with wine, chocolate, candles, and gerbera daisies. “I assumed this was my present, until Nate went to the stereo and played ‘Question’ by the Old 97s, which is our song,” remembers Megan. “I immediately started crying.” When he got down on one knee and presented the ring, she immediately said “yes.” But there was yet another surprise: Nate blindfolded Megan and drove her to the restaurant, where 50 of her friends and family members were still waiting to celebrate her birthday. The happy couple surprised them back with the news that they were engaged. “The two most memorable events in my life up to that point happened within 20 minutes of each other!” she says.
